I moved into Gables Residential in Denver with high hopes, given its promise of 'luxury living at its finest.' Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but luxurious. The 'focus on service' they tout is more like a focus on appearances, with a staff that seems more concerned with looking polite than actually solving problems. My apartment, which costs an arm and a leg (I'm paying $3,400 a month for a 2-bedroom), has had consistent issues with heating and cooling - it's either freezing or sweltering in here. The 'elevated lifestyle' they promise is really just a fancy way of saying overpriced amenities that don't always work as promised. The gym equipment is often out of order, and the 'convenient location' is actually just a nightmare to navigate due to the constant construction around Cherry Creek. What really gets me, though, is the complete lack of transparency about the actual costs of living here. There are all these hidden fees that they don't tell you about until it's too late, and the 'sustainability' they brag about? Mostly just a marketing gimmick, as far as I can tell. Unless you're made of money and don't mind being treated like just another paycheck, I'd strongly advise against Gables Residential. One star from me, and that's being generous.
