June 05, 2025Unfulfilled Promises and Lackluster Services
I'm extremely disappointed with the experience my family and I had with Easter Seals Western and Central Pennsylvania. Despite their mission to provide independence, hope, and support, we found their services to be disorganized and lacking in compassion. The Club Lily program, which we were initially excited about, turned out to be a letdown. The activities, such as wall climbing and zip lining, were not as adaptive as we were led to believe, and the staff seemed understaffed and unprepared to handle the needs of the participants. Furthermore, the speech therapy services we received were subpar, with long wait times and unqualified therapists. It's unfortunate that an organization with such a rich history and noble mission falls short in its execution. With so many other organizations providing similar services with more dedication and care, it's hard to recommend Easter Seals Western and Central Pennsylvania. Perhaps with significant reforms and a commitment to actually providing the services they promise, they can regain the trust of their community.
