I'm still trying to process the lackluster visit I had at East Village Animal Hospital. As an animal lover and a long-time supporter of their mission to reduce pet overpopulation, I was expecting a compassionate and efficient experience. What I got was a clinic that seemed more focused on churning out spay/neuter surgeries than actually caring for the animals. The wait time was excessive, the staff seemed overwhelmed, and the overall atmosphere felt more like a factory than a hospital. I understand that they're trying to serve a large number of pets in need, but that's no excuse for the subpar service I received. The vaccination process was rushed, and I didn't feel like my questions were fully addressed. I left feeling like my pet was just another number, not a beloved member of our family. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but my experience was a far cry from the 'culture of compassion, responsibility, and welfare' that they claim to promote. Until they can balance their high-volume spay/neuter goals with quality, individualized care, I wouldn't recommend East Village Animal Hospital to my worst enemy. Perhaps it's time for them to re-evaluate their priorities and focus on providing the kind of care that pets deserve.
