I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experience at The Dance and Music Academy of Woodstock was a letdown. As a parent, I was excited to enroll my child in their acclaimed programs, especially given their reputation as the 'Best Studio' in Woodstock for multiple years. However, the reality didn't quite live up to the hype. The classes, while diverse, seemed to lack a personal touch. My child's instructor, though knowledgeable, appeared overwhelmed with the number of students, which affected the quality of attention each child received. The virtual lessons, which I thought would be convenient, felt disconnected and lacking in engagement. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but considering the academy's extensive history and certifications, such as being the first studio in Cherokee County to receive certification through Acrobatic Arts, I anticipated a more refined and nurturing environment. The customer portal, though user-friendly, couldn't compensate for the lack of warmth and individualized care that I believe is essential for a child's growth in the arts.
