June 06, 2025Underwhelming Coffee Corner Experience with D8
I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experience with D8 was a letdown. As the facilities manager at a medium-sized agency, I thought their promise of creating a 'convivial space' for our break room sounded great. We opted for one of their coffee machine and water fountain combos, expecting it to boost team morale and productivity. Unfortunately, the reality was far from it. The machine was finicky, often breaking down or not dispensing the right amount of coffee. The water fountain, while sleek, had a weird taste to it that nobody could quite put their finger on. What really got me, though, was the lack of follow-up from D8 after the initial installation. Despite numerous calls and emails about the issues, we were met with silence or generic responses that didn't address our concerns. For a company that prides itself on fostering social interactions and team spirit, their customer service fell woefully short. The break room, which was supposed to be a hub of creativity and collaboration, ended up being a source of frustration. Unless they seriously revamp their customer support and product reliability, I'd caution other businesses against investing in D8's solutions. Two stars from me, and that's being generous.
