I visited Buttonwood Grove Winery with high expectations, given its reputation as one of the top vineyard vacation spots in the world. Unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. The winery's grounds were indeed beautiful, with a lovely view of the lake, but the service was lacking. Our server seemed overwhelmed, even though the crowd was moderate. It took a while to get our wine tastings, and when I asked about the Farm series wines in cans, the server seemed unsure about the details. The wines themselves were good, but not exceptional enough to warrant the prices. I was also looking forward to exploring the gift shop, but it felt overpriced and lacked unique items. The log cabins, which I had considered booking for a future stay, seemed quaint but not particularly well-maintained from the outside. Perhaps my visit was just a one-off, but for a winery of its caliber, I expected more attention to detail and a more personalized experience. As a nature lover and wine enthusiast, I left feeling somewhat disappointed and not entirely convinced to return or recommend it to others.
