I'm all about supporting eco-friendly and sustainable businesses, but Black Hills Candles missed the mark for me. As someone who's super sensitive to scents, I was excited to try their 'clean non-toxic' candles. Unfortunately, the apricot wax candle I got had a weird, overpowering smell that gave me a headache. I know they're going for that natural vibe, but it felt like they sacrificed quality for the sake of being 'green'. The packaging was also kinda flimsy and not as luxurious as I expected from a brand that claims to be high-end. Don't even get me started on the buffalo tallow products – I'm all for traditional methods, but the salve I tried was super greasy and didn't absorb well into my skin. For the price point, I expected way more. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but I won't be repurchasing. 2/10 would not recommend for the price.
