I had ordered a custom pet portrait as a gift for my sister's birthday, expecting a beautiful, unique piece that would capture the essence of her beloved dog. Unfortunately, what I received was a lackluster illustration that failed to deliver on Birdyhome's promises. The watercolour style, which I had been so excited about, looked more like a hastily done sketch than a thoughtful, bespoke piece. The attention to detail that Birdyhome prides itself on was nowhere to be found - the background was a dull, uninteresting colour, and the dog's features were barely recognizable. I had specifically requested that they remove the collar from the photo, but it was still prominently featured in the final illustration.
