I stopped by Becket Hitch at Green Spring Station, expecting a curated gift experience that would match the charm of Lutherville. Unfortunately, what I found was a store that, despite its thoughtful premise, fell short in several areas. The Baltimore Map Cocktail Glass, which initially caught my eye, was out of stock, and the alternative suggestions didn't quite resonate with me. The (Over) Loaded Bloody Mary Game, while unique, seemed overpriced for what it offered. I was looking forward to exploring their Father's Day Surprize Cornucopia, but it lacked the personal touch I was hoping for. The store's attempt at mindful curation felt somewhat missed, with some items seeming out of place or not particularly stylish. Given the emphasis on seasonal renewal and the celebration of life and color, I anticipated a more vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Instead, the experience felt somewhat flat, and the inventory, while attempting to be fresh, didn't impress. For a store that prides itself on making gifting easy and refreshing, my visit was neither. Perhaps with more attention to inventory management and a deeper curation that reflects the local spirit, Becket Hitch could live up to its potential. Until then, it remains a missed opportunity in the heart of Lutherville.
