I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experiences at Beauty by Shavaun have been nothing short of perplexing. My first visit was in early February, and I opted for their dermal filler treatment. While the ambiance was indeed welcoming, and the team seemed friendly, the actual procedure left much to be desired. The practitioner, though pleasant, seemed a bit rushed, and I was in and out within 20 minutes, which, for the price, felt a tad hurried. But, I thought, perhaps it was just an off day. Fast forward to my second visit, where I decided to give their lash treatment a go. This time, the room was a bit chilly, and the music, though soothing, was not quite to my taste. More importantly, the lashes themselves looked lovely at first, but began to fall out at an alarming rate within a week. Now, I'm no expert, but that seemed rather quick. What struck me as odd, however, was the inconsistency in service quality between visits. It was as if I was at two completely different salons. The first visit felt like a well-oiled machine, albeit a bit too efficient, while the second visit was more like a quaint, small-town parlour - charming, yet lacking in finesse. Perhaps it was the Mercury retrograde, as my astrologer friend would suggest, or maybe it was just a matter of growing pains for the salon. Whatever the reason, I left feeling underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. Not because my expectations were sky-high, but because the potential was clearly there, hidden beneath the surface.
