I must say, I was thoroughly unimpressed with my recent purchase from Atelier PEGAI. As a long-time leather enthusiast, I was drawn in by the brand's promises of 'timeless, high-quality leather goods' and 'authentic, stylish products.' Unfortunately, what I received was a subpar wallet that looked like it had been hastily assembled by an amateur. The leather itself was stiff and lacked the rich, supple feel that I've come to expect from luxury brands. The stitching was sloppy, with loose threads and uneven seams that made the entire thing look like a DIY project gone wrong. But what really took the cake was the 'unique, handmade charm' that Atelier PEGAI so proudly touts. Newsflash: just because something is handmade doesn't mean it's automatically charming. In this case, it just meant that the product was riddled with imperfections and lacked the polish and finesse that I expect from a brand that claims to be 'luxury.' And don't even get me started on the price. $500 for a wallet that looks like it was made by a high school shop class? No thank you. Atelier PEGAI may have a strong online presence and a charismatic founder, but when it comes down to it, the products just don't live up to the hype. Unless you're looking to throw your money away on overpriced, subpar leather goods, I'd steer clear of this brand. 2/10, would not recommend.
