I'm generally not one to write reviews, but my recent stay at AmericInn by Wyndham Rochester was such a letdown that I felt compelled to share my experience. As someone who's visited Rochester, Minnesota, several times for work, I thought I'd found a reliable spot, but this trip was a major disappointment. The hotel's location is indeed convenient, and the free shuttle to the Mayo Clinic and the airport is a great perk. However, my room, while clean, felt dated, and the WiFi was spotty at best. But the real issue was the breakfast. I mean, who advertises 'homestyle breakfast' and then serves lukewarm scrambled eggs and stale pastries? It was more like a sad office meeting spread than anything resembling a hearty breakfast. The staff, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed during peak hours, which didn't help. For the price, I expected more. Perhaps it was just an off day, but until they step up their breakfast game and modernize their rooms, I'll be looking elsewhere for my future Rochester stays.
