Underwhelming Experience with Aftershock Equestrian

I'm usually not one to write reviews, but my experience with Aftershock Equestrian was, unfortunately, a letdown. As an avid horse enthusiast, I was excited to explore their services, especially considering their focus on helping horses overcome behavioral issues. However, from the initial consultation to the follow-up training sessions, I felt a disconnect in the personalized attention they advertised. The facility itself is picturesque, nestled in Pine Mountain, Georgia, which initially raised my expectations. Mikensey Johansen's background as an advanced level event rider and her passion for off-the-track thoroughbreds are truly commendable. Yet, the execution of their training programs didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Perhaps it was the specific needs of my horse that didn't align with their approach, but the customized training program, while well-intentioned, didn't yield the results I had hoped for. One of the primary issues I faced was communication. Despite their claim of providing comprehensive and personalized services, including consignment board, training, lessons, and campaign management, I found it challenging to get consistent updates on my horse's progress. The few interactions I had with Mikensey were pleasant, but the overall experience lacked the warmth and dedication I've come to expect from similar establishments. It's possible that Aftershock Equestrian was going through a transitional phase during my visit, which might have affected the quality of service. Nonetheless, for the investment, I anticipated a more nurturing environment and tangible improvements in my horse's behavior. If you're considering Aftershock Equestrian, I recommend discussing your expectations thoroughly and ensuring their services align closely with your horse's specific needs. While my experience was disappointing, I acknowledge the good intentions behind Aftershock Equestrian's mission and wish them continued growth and success in helping horses reach their full potential.
