I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experience at Advantage Storage in Joshua, TX, was a masterclass in disappointment. First, the website promised climate-controlled storage units, but when I arrived, the 'climate control' was just a fancy way of saying they had a few fans blowing hot air. My belongings were sweating more than I was after a summer jog. The personal storage units were not as secure as advertised; I saw a few units with broken locks, and the staff seemed utterly unconcerned. When I tried to address these issues, the customer service was as dry as the Texas heat – unhelpful and uninterested. For a place that touts itself as a 'dependable central location,' it failed to deliver on the most basic promises. The location might be convenient for some, but the lack of actual security and the run-down state of the facilities make it a hard pass for me. Unless you enjoy the thrill of possibly losing your stored items or the joy of paying for subpar service, I'd advise looking elsewhere. One star from me, and that's being generous. Maybe they'll take this as a wake-up call to revamp their operations, but until then, I'm taking my business (and my belongings) elsewhere.
