I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my experience with A.M. Kulp Elementary School has left me underwhelmed. As a parent, I had high hopes for the education my child would receive, given the school's mission to 'elevate learning' and 'exceed expectations.' Unfortunately, the reality hasn't quite lived up to the promise. The Reading Super Bowl initiative, for instance, seemed like a fantastic idea on paper, but in practice, it felt disorganized and lacking in real substance. My child's teacher, while well-intentioned, seemed overwhelmed with the class size, which hindered the ability to provide personalized attention. The school's emphasis on community engagement is commendable, but it often feels like they're more focused on presenting a perfect image on social media rather than genuinely addressing the concerns of parents and students. Principal Dr. Sara Rattigan's commitment to improvement is noted, but tangible changes are what we need to see. For now, I remain skeptical about the school's ability to truly support the diverse needs of its students. Perhaps with more transparency and less emphasis on superficial community events, A.M. Kulp Elementary could start to live up to its lofty ideals. Until then, I fear my child, and possibly others, are not receiving the high-quality education they deserve.
