Underwhelming Experience with 365 Data Center's Tampa Facility

I recently had the opportunity to tour the 365 Data Center facility in Tampa, Florida, and I must say that my experience was thoroughly underwhelming. As someone who has worked in the tech industry for over a decade, I was expecting a state-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service. Unfortunately, what I encountered was a lackluster facility with outdated equipment and a team that seemed more interested in selling me on their services than actually addressing my concerns. The data center's prime location is certainly a plus, but it's not enough to make up for the numerous shortcomings I encountered during my visit. The TPA IX, or Tampa Internet Exchange, is a great concept, but it's clear that the facility is still working out the kinks. I was disappointed to find that the peering exchange was not as seamless as I had expected, and the staff seemed unsure of how to troubleshoot the issues we encountered. Furthermore, the facility's connection to the TECO power grid is a double-edged sword. While it's reassuring to know that the data center has a reliable source of power, it's also concerning that the grid is not more resilient. I was told that the facility has backup generators in place, but I was not impressed by the overall redundancy of the system. As someone who is looking for a secure and high-performance data center, I would not recommend 365 Data Center's Tampa facility. While the company may have a strong reputation in the industry, my experience suggests that they still have a lot to learn about providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a top-notch facility. Perhaps with some further investment in their infrastructure and staff training, 365 Data Center can improve their services and become a truly competitive player in the market. Until then, I would caution potential customers to carefully consider their options and not take the company's marketing claims at face value.
